Rebel Wilson is living her best life after a transformative year.
Earlier this month, the Hustle actress announced that she’d officially completed her “Year of Health” journey by reaching her goal weight of 75kgs (roughly 165 pounds). The 40-year-old flaunted her noticeable slimmer frame when she hit the ice skating rink at NYC’s Rockefeller Center with her sister, Annachi Wilson, on Sunday (December 5).
In a caption-less Instagram post, Rebel strikes several cute poses while wearing a form-fitting, cream-colored Gucci cardigan, skintight red leggings and a gray hat. “Skating sisters,” Rebel wrote with a video clip of her and Annachi skating together hand-in-hand.
As fans know, Wilson has been documenting her health and wellness journey all year long. Over the summer, it was estimated that she’d lost at least 40 pounds — now, since reaching her goal, Us Weekly reports the Pitch Perfect favorite has trimmed off about 61 pounds.
Wilson spoke candidly about her health and relationship with her body in an E! News interview in November.
“I’ve been overweight for about 20 years. I started gaining weight when I was about 20,” she told the outlet at the time, revealing, “I had something called PCOS — polycystic ovarian syndrome — and I gained weight rapidly. It’s just a hormone imbalance and you gain a lot of weight usually and that’s how it manifested in me.”
Although Wilson admitted that she does “feel sad” at times, she’s been diligently working her “body to my advantage” and embraces being “more health-conscious and thinking of starting a family” since turning 40.
