Former Married At First Sight star Aleks Markovic shows off weight loss

Former Married At First Sight star Aleks Markovic celebrated her 28th birthday this week.

And the reality star looks a lot different these days compared to when she graced the small screen earlier this year.

Since her time on television, the real estate agent has lost 9kgs and revamped her look.

Her makeup style has also changed, which may be due to the fact that Aleks now has her own cosmetics brand.

‘Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway,’ she captioned her birthday post.

’28 is going to be my best year yet! Cannot wait to smash more goals. So thankful for all the beautiful people I have met this year and grateful for every single one of you for supporting me and following my journey!’ she continued.

Aleks has credited a plant-based diet rather than exercise for her dramatic slim down.

‘I did 40 days of Lent where I gave up all meat products, meat, dairy, et cetera,’ she said back in April.

‘Basically, I was kind of plant-based, you would call it. I felt it was really good, I felt so much more energised, obviously I lost the weight. I loved it, it was so good and considering it was so amazing, I’m going to continue on with this journey.

‘Plant based is the way to go, guys. I feel like if you get rid of all those meat products, dairy, et cetera. You might find that you might lose weight as well, if that’s your goal.’

To help her stay on track, Aleks had food and drink delivered from a plant-based meal company.

While she doesn’t like traditional exercise, the brunette beauty has said that dancing on TikTok has helped her stay in shape.

‘I’ve discovered TikTok dancing,’ Aleks previously told Daily Mail Australia, when asked about her fitness regimen. 

Aleks was paired with fellow real estate agent Ivan Sarakula on Married At First Sight’s seventh season earlier this year.
