Chennai: According to a survey carried out by a Chennai-based obesity clinic in the city, the people of Chennai have now turned to a healthier lifestyle, thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The survey showed that not only the people of Chennai but also several other parts of the country have been trying to make a radical shift towards a much healthier diet and have been focusing on their health management.
Apart from that, the survey found that 80% of the people have also started focusing on building their immunity – especially because of the coronavirus pandemic situation. According to a report by the Times of India, 35% people have made consistent efforts to eat healthy while other 34% have made time for yoga or some other physical activity.
The survey was carried out on the people between the age groups of 22 to 65. The respondents said that they have been particular about hygiene and safety standards. Some of them also said they would want to seek professional help as they feel that would be better than self-experimenting.
Meanwhile, India recorded 44,489 coronavirus cases on November 26, to of which, 1,464 cases were reported from Tamil Nadu. While the total daily coronavirus cases in India have gone down in the past one month, some states have been struggling to curb the spread of the fast-spreading virus.
