Cross Country Polls & Rankings
Iowa Central CC is on a four-meet win streak, most recently romping to victory at the Briar Cliff Invitational this past weekend. The Tritons saw three athletes finish in the top-10 individually, led by Pur Biel as the runner-up and Kelvin Bungei in fourth place. That was more than enough to give Iowa Central CC the 24-57 victory over NAIA No. 12 Dordt (Iowa).
Iowa Western CC moved up one spot from the previous week to No. 2. The Reivers most recently finished third as a team at the Briar Cliff Invitational this past weekend. Yonas Mogos paced Iowa Western CC at the meet as he finished seventh individually.
College of Southern Idaho jumped three spots from No. 6 to No. 3 after some big efforts. Most recently, the Golden Eagles dominated the CSI Classic this past weekend as they outscored Westminster (Utah), 20-41. Jalen Anderson was CSI’s top-ranked finisher in 15th place.
Hutchinson (Kan.) CC fell two spots from No. 2 to No. 4 following a runner-up performance at the Red Devil Duals this past weekend. It was in Iola, Kansas, where Teagan Flanagan won the individual title, but the Blue Dragons couldn’t find the necessary depth to hold off Allen CC.
New Mexico JC remains at No. 5 for the second week in a row. As of September 24, “Due to health mandates placed upon the state of New Mexico during the COVID-19 protocol, NMJC is continuing to build a 2020 schedule. Once events are allowed to be placed upon the calendar, the information will be posted and updated.”
Here are the rest of the top-10 teams in Week 3: No. 6 Butler (Kan.) CC, No. 7 Cloud County (Kan.) CC, No. 8 Colby (Kan.) CC, No. 9 Vincennes, No. 10 Highland (Kan.) CC.
