Post-COVID care is extremely important and with that in mind we have started the yoga facility
Rubal Agarwal, PMC additional commissioner
Rubal Agarwal, the additional commissioner of PMC, said, “The post-COVID care for a patient is extremely important and with the same motive in mind we have started the yoga facility at the Baner COVID care centre.”
More than 100 patients are admitted in the facility at present and the move has been welcomed by them, who are appreciative of the exercise. A patient undergoing treatment at the Baner hospital said, “This is a good decision taken by the administration. Performing yoga is also helping us to keep the stress away. The overall treatment, services and the care extended by the doctors is very good, especially as compared to what is happening in other COVID care centres.”
Another patient added, “We are spending around half an hour doing this and it is indeed very relaxing, helping to keep the stress away. The doctors here say that this will help us in coping with post-COVID body pain and will help in quick recovery.”
PMC has developed the six-storey building into a 314-bed COVID hospital which was inaugurated on August 28.
